Be it known unto all that the Wínland Ríce’s Witan held moot to weigh the worthiness of Ælfric Þegn of Hræfnscír Heall to be raised to the árung of Hláford, that it then gave its rede to the Cyning to deem upon, and that by the leave of Gárman Hláford Cyning, Ælfric Þegn is now hight Ælfric Hláford of Hræfnscír Théod of the Wínland Ríce, being in hold to its Cyning and in fréondscipe with its other Hláfordas.
